Very good. Seems to be a very well-made, high quality product. Installation and wiring connection was very simple. Would have liked to have some rubber grommets included for the knock-outs in the junction box. Also, a cut-out template would have been nice. But no complaints at all so far – really happy with the product and even happier with the service and website functionality ProLighting provided

I’ve had many dimmable LED lights over the last decade, and these are my favorite.

No buzzing, no flickering, no glowing even when off… just overall rock solid. The dim to warm is great, maybe its just a personal thing but dimming at the same color temp, which is what most lights do, just leads to this awkward grey looking light when its really dim – so personally I love the dim to warm. Paired with the mounting brackets which hold the transformer the contractor and inspector loved the install. HIGHLY recommend.

Overall pleased with the look and installation of these.

I’m an electrician and have installed hundreds of slim profile recessed. You definetly pay a slight premium for Lotus, but it’s quality is on par with price. I installed 4 of these and 1 of them has given me trouble after maybe about 1000 hours ( a little less than a year assuming customer had them on about 3-5 hours a day). The light comes on at first then shuts off. A little disappointing but it’s not a perfect world. The quality of light is also something your average consumer has no idea about, with these, the color temperature is accurate soft and welcoming. Some of the cheap lights just don’t compare. The difference is real.

These slim low-pro LED pucks are bright, quality made, easy to install, light weight.

And they’re very slim. These lights went on a low carb diet with lots of cardio and kept the weight off. I used them for a somewhat different application than they’re intended for. Because these light don’t weigh much, I was able to mount them to bare glass using a small piece of clear silicone tape. The size and brightness work perfectly for what I needed. A little pricey for my project, but overall 4.3 out of 5 stars.

Great experience. The fixtures are surprisingly well made given their price and configurability.

I often specify fixtures 3 or 4 times the cost, and the only extra option is beam angle. So, if the beam angle if this and other Lotus fixtures suits you, it’s a great choice. Oh – the build quality of the more expensive is NOT any better.

One real advantage of these lights is that layout is totally flexible.

At 1/2” thick, you can place them anywhere on the ceiling, even in the middle of a joist. Can’t beat them for new construction. Just leave enough loose wire in the joist bay and cut in after drywall with a 6” hole saw. Takes maybe 5 minutes to cut the hole and wire with the quick connects.

Great light and one of the only ones of its kind on the market that I was able to find as a homeowner (i.e. sloped with gimball and canless).

Quality light and puts out a good amount of light. I will definitely use/purchase more. Only slight issue is that the bulb cover isn’t opaque, so it hurts if you look directly at the bulb. (But I don’t make a habit of staring directly into light bulbs so it really isn’t much of an issue at all!)

Beautiful quality of light (2700) and seamless dimming with compatible dimmer. Quite easy to install. We’re using it above our rear entrance door and it’s exactly what we were looking for.

Wow, Customer Service like no other!

We had a driver box stop working after about 9 months of use. I sent an email to Customer Service on a Thursday afternoon, got a reply within 20 minutes, and received a replacement driver via FedEx on Sunday night.

I wish other companies were half as responsive as this company. Well done Lotus!!!

We redid our kitchen a few years back and have 10 of your high CRI lights. I absolutely LOVE them.

Our electrician was floored at the quality of light, along with the brightness and dimmability. However, the issue is that they are SO GOOD, they make the rest of our lights look terrible. I was always a fan of halogen, but you have ruined us on any other LED lights (lol).

I would recommend, and do, your lights to everyone! Often guests don’t believe us that they are LEDs. We actually over estimated what we needed because based on previous experience with LEDs, we thought they might not throw enough light, so the kitchen at full pop is like high noon!
We intend to build a home in the future, so we will definitely install your lights throughout the house – no question.

High quality with good looking trim.

The dim-to-warm feature is the only reason I purchased these. I think all LEDs should have this feature. It makes it an excellent replacement for GU10 halogen recessed lighting. The light temperature profile is very close to the halogens when used with a dimmer. It doesn’t get as dim as the halogens on the lowest settings, but at only 7.5 watts its worth the tradeoff. I wish they offered a 25 degree or less beam angle. I don’t think you will find a better LED substitute for halogen.

Mimics lamps and fixtures that sell at a much higher price point

Typically I do not leave feedback message! But we have used Lotus lighting in a number of our projects. With the Regressed model the lighting and fixture quality mimics lamps and fixtures that sell at a much higher price point. Further, the thickness allows placement virtually anywhere, especially if you are using methods to increase STC ratings (hat channel etc.) as it creates enough space for the Lotus fixture to fit under joists or rafters. Highly suggested!

I enjoy the quality build.

The first thing I noticed was the heft. This product is built with a robust build, while at the same time minimizing it’s footprint. You’ll be able to mount this in rather shallow locations. Lastly, I enjoy the quality build. The initial quality appears rather impressive, better than what you might find at your big box store. The only negative is price, however you get what you pay for.

I bought 17 of these to replace some cheap 8? wafers I bought on Amazon. These work great. We connected them in 4 groups with the largest groups having 5 lights. Used Lutron CL toggler dimmers.

Excellent quality and finish.

I build high performance homes and put these in instead of standard can lights. With the air sealing details I use these lights fit perfectly, and their single unit price is higher than a can light, the overall cost to install these is less than that of labor, fixture and bulb for a can light. The crisis is above 90 so colors are true and the temp ratings are right on, I like the 3000k for residential. I’ll be buying lots more of these.

Provides a warm brightness in the house that we were missing with our other lighting!

Definitely a great buy! The coverage is about 8-10 feet for an 8-10 ft tall ceiling. They are very attractive and super easy to install. These cut down on the installation bill from the electricians because it takes less time and material to set these up than most other cans on the market.

Pros: Unbelievably fast installation, under 10 minutes per fixture, including hole cut. Bright, crisp light, clear lens limits glare from fixture. No perceptible ‘hot spots’ light is incredibly uniform from center to edge of beam. Dimming works flawlessly, maintains color as dimmed. Sturdy build, quality finish on each and every light. Cons: None yet (3 rooms installed to date) There may be ‘similar’ lights at a lower price point, but if build quality, color rendering (high CRI 90+) are important – these are worth it. Only wish would be to have slightly more tilt available, and a wider regressed apeture for steeper ceilings.

No need for housing and can be installed easily in many low ceiling areas

I purchased the Lotus LED 4? slim square recessed downlight white 700 lumens 3000K after much research. The product came quickly and well packaged. The recessed lighting are heavy duty and the trim is metal not cheap plastic. The advantage of those recessed lighting is there is no need for housing and can be installed easily in many low ceiling areas. I purchased them for the entry, kitchen and hallway areas. They are dimmable which is an added bonus.

These lights fit my needs perfectly.

I was pleased with the fit and finish and they were very easy to install. The box containing the lights provided a template to make the cut out which i found very helpful. Once cut the lights easily fit into the opening and the spring clips securely held the lights in place. Wire connectors were provided which made the electrical connections very easy, finally the amount of light provided by these down lights exceeded my expectations.

No glare, great light.

We got these 3 of them I stalled over the kitchen bar to make it brighter. They are beautiful and where easy to Install. Out electrician has Installed them before and got the job done in an hour.

They installed easily and the finish and final looks was fantastic.

Purchased several 4 & 6 inch lights in 2014. Recently, one light stopped working and we contacted warranty support. It was suggested that the driver might have failed and a replacement would be sent within a week. Well it arrived the next day! It was a very easy switch, just pulled the light out, swapped the driver box and 5 minutes later all was done and problem solved. Lotus Lights, your product and support is second to none!! Thanks

Excellent product, well made components.

I have a 1950’s era dark kitchen that was desperately in need of additional lighting. The attic access is very limited and having to go up there has discouraged me from installing traditional can lights in the ceiling. After seeing Lotus Lights used on “This Old House” TV show I determined this was exactly what I need.

I ordered 6 of the Lotus 6? round lights. While waiting for that delivery I used a stud finder and pair of dividers set to 6.375? to lay out the six lights evenly on the ceiling.

The day the lights arrived I cut the six holes in the drywall ceiling, connected the lights together using Romex, popped them into position and connected the last lamp to an existing fixture electric box.

Looks like a modern kitchen, lighting is even and perfectly covers the entire room. I referenced a couple websites for the best placement. I completed the entire installation without ever having to go in the attic and it’s ALL TO NEC CODE.

Highly recommend this product. The lights themselves are amazing, the look and color is the best I have seen

All I can say is wow!

I bought four of these to install in a renovated attic loft not knowing exactly how they would perform, basing my decision on the thickness and a few short reviews. After installing these and livening them up all I can say is wow!

These LED units are impressive, throwing out a warm and inviting light that compliments the room. If I knew how well they would work, that’s all I would have installed throughout the 1400sq/ft attic loft. If I could up load pictures, I would gladly show these off.

Notes for installation:

1. There aren’t detailed installation instructions included with the units. You do need to know a little about lighting installations. Call an electrician and have it done right the first time.

2. Plan out your lighting scheme. I found that on an 8? ceiling, about 36? spacing is perfect.

3. Don’t throw away the cardboard ring which only looks like packaging; it’s your template for a perfect fit…dumpster diving is not fun.

2. Make sure you use Loomex/Box Connectors or similar when connecting multiple lights, 2 per unit, last one on the loop only needs one.

3. Where the site says to use a dimmer that is LED rated…spend a few extra bucks else they will not work as well and cut out about half way down the slider. No fault of the lights, its the dimmers fault purchased by the user.

4. If you are planning to install in an area with blown in insulation above, use a protection bag. If not, the moment you pull one out to show it off to your buddy, you’re going to need a vacuum. Not fun again.

I would highly recommend these to anyone doing reno’s or new installations where you want a low power consumption but high quality light with exceptional light dispersion that doesn’t hurt the eyes like some of the LED products or CFL bulbs I’ve come across.

The color and brightness is great.

I ordered these light due to the restrictions of a normal can light in a drop ceiling.

We wanted the ceiling to be at a specific height and lights spaced as needed. These lights did not disappoint.

The ability to use a dimmer added to the attraction. To top it off, we needed these lights within 3 days, the normal delivery went beyond this. I included a note with my order explaining my scheduling issue. George made sure these lights were at my door when we needed them.I am extremely happy with the lights and the company!

Easy to install and surprisingly bright.

I had to do a retro-fit in my condo but found insulation in the ceiling. After a long search online I settled upon this product which seemed like the perfect solution : slim, IC Rated, low power and dimmable. Shipping was quick and the product did not disappoint, it was easy to install and surprisingly bright.

The only reason I am giving this product 4 stars is because no manual explaining installation was provided. (It would have been nice to get the minimum cable size between the box and the fixture, wet installation instructions, etc)

I will be purchasing more of these guys in the future for sure!

They are absolutely beautiful and bright.

I have recently installed 12 of the 6 inch ultrathin led lights, they are absolutely beautiful and bright.

With 12 of these lights in a 20 feet by 20 feet room it looks like day light at any given time. It is not harsh on your eyes although they are dimmable to 20% of their brightness which I do when watching movies which is a totally different experience. The product was good all the lights worked and the shipping was fast from Canada to Chicago it took 4-5 days.

Excellent service and fast delivery was a bonus.

We used 41 of these 6? warm white lights for the entire basement renovation. Since our basement is only 7’6? high we were looking for a lighting solution that does not hang below the ceiling (or even flush-mount) so these lights fitted the bill nicely. Unlike traditional pot lights that can be installed only where the joists configuration allows, these half-inch thin LEDs can be installed directly under the joists if needed, thus allowing desirable layout. Depending on the room, we spaced them 4? to 5? from each other in a rectangular pattern (slightly less, 2? to 3? from the walls) which, considering 120 degrees beam width angle, provides sufficient light coverage at the eye level of a standing average person, and abundant light level at the desk/table surface where the beams overlap. Almost all the rooms in our basement have the lights split between two switches to have more or less light as needed; some areas have also dimmers for even more granular control over the brightness. Very happy with the results.
